World Cup Alpine Skiing: Ligety Second in Final GS, Raich Misses Title by 12 Points

Are, Sweden - In a hard fought battle for the World Cup giant slalom title, the U.S. Ski Team's Ted Ligety (Park City, UT) went all out Friday, finishing second behind Benjamin Raich of Austria in the giant slalom at the Audi FIS World Cup Finals in Sweden. Raich was denied the title by a mere 12 points as Swiss Didier Cuche took third and the GS globe.
