The longest running professional soccer franchise in America could be calling it quits. It's been a tough week for the Milwaukee Wave, who have found out that not only is their ownership group leaving them, but they are also without a league. Last season, they were a charter member of the four-team Xtreme Soccer League, which has ceased it's operation. Just goes to show that leagues with "Xtreme"...

The Blast's six-game winning streak ended with an 11-6 loss to the host Philadelphia KiXX. Defender Billy Nelson scored at the 11:33 mark of the first quarter to give the Blast (13-3) a 2-0 lead. The Blast eliminated Monterrey La RaZa from first-place contention in the National Indoor Soccer League with a 16-9 victory, its fifth in a row, at 1st Mariner Arena. With a win over the Philadelphia KiXX (8-6) at 7:35 tonight at home, the Blast (12-2) will clinch first place in the regular season and host the title game April 11. Yes, I'm really late on this weeks update on former Wizards. Indoor Soccer Stephen Armstrong - Chicago Storm - I haven't been doing the indoor game, but with only 2 other former Wizards playing right now, it's fairly easy to stay up on this. Armstrong is playing on the Chicago Storm of the XSL. Against the Milwaukee Wave on New Years Eve, Armstrong had 2 goals in the Storm's 14-10 loss to the Wave....
