The Philadelphia Kixx of the National Indoor Soccer League will begin their season with a new home field. The team will play home games at Temple's Liacouras Center. Their former home, the Wachovia Spectrum, is closing Oct. 31.

The Milwaukee Wave, a former rival of the Blast's, could fold. The four-team Xtreme Soccer League, which the Wave joined last September, is expected to disband by Friday. Milwaukee Journal Sentinel sources said the Wave seeks new ownership and could land in the National Indoor Soccer League, which includes the Blast. It's been a tough week for the Milwaukee Wave, who have found out that not only is their ownership group leaving them, but they are also without a league. Last season, they were a charter member of the four-team Xtreme Soccer League, which has ceased it's operation. Just goes to show that leagues with "Xtreme"...

With one game to play in the regular season, the Kixx remain in the NISL playoff hunt. They kept their postseason hopes alive last night with an 11-6 win over the top-seeded Baltimore Blast (13-3) at the Wachovia Spectrum. Joe Di Buono scored his first goal of the season for the Kixx (9-8).
