The San Jose Earthquakes have been making an impressive run at the MLS playoffs for a 1st year expansion team. Therefore, a few friends and myself (Mosswood FC!) made the trip to Buckshaw Stadium to support. Unfortunately, the date we got tickets for, 10/11, turned out to be an international fixture date. This wouldn't affect SJ but it did mean Sacha Kljesten would not be on the Chivas USA squad playing...

...and by conquer we mean they've signed on for a tentative "football and commercial development plan" with the San Jose Earthquakes of MLS. Apparently Steve Schmidt and Karl Rove have taken over at the Lane, because this is the lamest attempt to distract an angry/distraught public since "Who is the real Barack Obama?" Thankfully, the English media still has a bit of its bollocks left. Like that Ma...

No real details yet about what kind of partnership but anytime you link up with an EPL club you have to think something good will come out of it. My bet the Quakes and Spurs will exchange business tactics, possible [...]

Its been a few weeks since I’ve been able to do these rankings so there won’t be any linking back to the previous one. Due to some time restrictions I won’t get into a lot of detail over the rankings. 1. Columbus Crew (53 pts.) - Very little doubt about this ranking. Top dog for a [...]

Something changed drastically for the 2008 MLS expansion San Jose Earthquakes in mid-season this year. That something - or rather, someone - named Darren Huckerby, is the number one reason for the huge positive turnaround in the team’s record and resulting fortunes… After five seasons and over 200 appearances with Norwich City, Huckerby was added to [...]
