* After watching the Bulls break 100, I was a bit concerned I'd wake up this morning and the sun would be rising in the west, the sky would be black as night, and the U.S. Senate would be a functional institution. But no, everything still seems normal. Maybe the Bulls can keep trying this. * It helps that the Kings are terrible defenders, particularly when decimated by injuries (although it's not like...

Thanks to wjb1492 for today's game preview . My initial thoughts on this game is that the Murder Train A Comin' . Then I figured that the Bulls do have a chance to out-hustle and out-run an especially immobile Cavs team. Then I figured that without Tyrus Thomas they don't really have this especially athletic roster conducive to running. Hinrich, Salmons, Taj, Miller, gimpy Rose.... even though Deng...

Wow, it's actually starting. I think it's the lack of seeing Rose in the preseason, but I'm not quite ready. I just hope Rose is though. We'll have no idea until the game's underway how injured/rusty he is, or how many minutes he'll play ( VDN says more than 20-25). And it's not exactly the caliber of opponent he can ease his way back against. Not only the Spurs as a total group, but Tony Parker in...

Is this the year the Bulls finally reclaim their place among the NBA's elite? For the past few seasons, the Bulls have been full of potential but inconsistent on fulfilling that promise on the court. One of these years, they'll finally make that jump. When we last saw the Bulls playing meaningful games, it was in an epic seven-game series (plus seven OT periods) with the Boston Celtics in the opening...

I haven't been paying very much attention to the Bulls so far this season because they're still in the preseason, and I don't care about the preseason in any sport. Nothing that happens in the preseason matters in the regular season, so I don't really care if Joakim Noah, Tyrus Thomas, Taj Gibson and James Johnson are playing well. I'll get excited if they do it when it counts. There is one

The Bulls look like they did pretty well in last June's NBA draft with James Johnson and Taj Gibson, the latter among Sam Smiths top 10 rookies of the early season based on the preseason reviews. But what if everyone had another shot at the draft?

(AP Photo/Hannah Foslien) Browse more photos » Even quicker recap this time, as I'm getting pretty tired of these Rose-less (and to a lesser extent, Tyrus-less) preseason games. Bulls shot 65% in the first quarter and was effective clogging the lane on defense. Jumping out to an early...

SEATTLE (AP) -- It was the kind of play usually only made by hitting a series of buttons in a video game, a play that James Johnson only heard his quarterback was capable of, but had yet to see in person.

Usually, pro athletes shy away from mingling with fans, but Chicago's two newest Bulls, forwards James Johnson and Taj Gibson, can't wait to get out there and say hello.

Washington receiver James Johnson freely admitted it --- Saturday was probably the worst game of his young Husky career.

Below is my entry in this year's NBA Blog Previews. If you're a frequent reader, a lot you may have read before...often. But even for those sick of my offseason whining analysis, there's at least a juicy prediction at the bottom to be mocked in April. Team Name: Chicago Bulls Last Year’s Record: 41-41 Key Losses: Ben Gordon , my faith in the franchise Key Additions: Jannero Pargo , James Johnson...
