I think that Lucky’s always been a paradox and a contradiction a little bit because he had the edge and the wildness and the rebellion of Luke but he also had the purity and the innocence of Laura. Even when he was helping Elizabeth through the rape and there was the purity and the romance, there was always this sort of con-man side of Lucky that came from his father that was always present....

By Linda V He had me at “Remember me?” Yes, the original Lucky Spencer is back – Jonathan Jackson. He originated the role as a child and left ten years ago. He amazed us with his awesome talent and was rewarded with several Emmys for his work. He had his first seamless scene with Becky Herbst [...]

I used to be a devoted fan of General Hospital , and some of my favorite episodes involved Luke and Laura, and later, their son, Lucky. In fact, now that I think about it, I started to stray from the show about the time that Jonathan Jackson, who played the first Lucky, left the show in 1999. The other actors who played Lucky -- Jacob Young and Greg Vaughan -- did a fine job, but I so associated the...

Filed under: OpEd , Daytime , Casting , Emmys , Reality-Free Tuesday was Jonathan Jackson's first day back on General Hospital in the role of Lucky Spencer. It's a role he originated (as a youngster), coming onto the show in 1993 when Luke and Laura -- Anthony Geary and Genie Francis -- made their much-heralded return. Jonathan stayed on General Hospital till 1999, winning three Daytime Emmys in his...

On his first day back in Port Charles, Jonathan Jackson found himself squarely in the middle of all the drama, thanks to a love triangle and parental strife. The star’s return to his role as Lucky Spencer today probably gave some longtime fans comfort as they witnessed his easy rapport and familiarity with Rebecca

Today is the day that Jonathan Jackson returns to the role of Lucky Spencer on General Hospital , and I'm having second thoughts about the wisdom of bringing him back and the decision to replace Greg Vaughn . There is no doubt that Jonathan was the best Lucky, the prettiest Lucky, and the Lucky we all carry in our hearts. But he's not that same little boy any more. Or rather, he still IS. He still...

It’s old home week on General Hospital as Emmy-winner Jonathan Jackson steps back into the role of Lucky Spencer tomorrow. Take a look below at our exclusive preview of his reunion with Elizabeth (Rebecca Herbst). Love the beat they allow to acknowledge his reentry into the role he’d originated. Is it me or is there

When news broke of three-time Daytime Emmy-winner Jonathan Jackson’s return to General Hospital as Lucky Spencer on October 27, fans were abuzz. And why not? He’s the actor many of us fell in love with first as the on-the-run spawn of Luke and Laura Spencer, then as the stalwart love of beautiful Elizabeth Webber. It

Yes! Yes! Yes! Omgomgomgomg, the FIRST (and for many, THE ONLY) Lucky Spencer – Jonathan Freakin' Jackson, y'all! – is coming back to the soap he got his start on. That's VERY GOOD news if you, like me, never allowed the other Lucky Spencers into your heart. Jacob Young was sort of hot, but his face was too big, his teeth were too little, and was mean to his momma. And Greg Vaughn is just...

Twitter is all a twit with tweets about Greg Vaughn out as Lucky Spencer and the original actor, Jonathan Jackson back in. There were rumors about this maybe a year or so ago and I remember thinking there was just no way it could ever happen. I could envision Greg Vaughn moving on of his own [...]
