Federer, who had himself stopped the winning streaks of Sampras and Agassi, met a similar fate at Wimbledon when Nadal ended his unbeaten run on grass in a final that would go down as one of the epics, matching the 1980 Borg vs McEnroe clash, marked by the unforgettable 18-16 fourth set tie-break.
