Jump to the full entry & travel map Arequipa, Peru Our first destination in Peru is the city of Arequipa, arriving after 10hrs on the bus and almost freezing as we passed over a couple of very high pass we arrived late in the evening but found a nice place to stay (even a hot shower). We visited the Museo ?? which houses some frozen mummies that we found on a couple of the summits...

Jump to the full entry & travel map Arequipa, Peru We arrived to Peru's second largest city by late afternoon, deciding to catch a day bus from Cuzco to soak in some of the rugged terrain scenery - somewhat wasted on Nic, suffering from a hangover, farewelling our English buddies the night before, further punished by an onslaight of horrendously loud and horrendously themed movies for 9hrs....

The rest to my group been almost far, no body stopped to saw this inca´s ruins. The best to way, was the bridge in the middle to the precipice....

... Our plan was to stay here for only one more day but unfortunatly the next available bus to Arequipa isn´t until Sunday. The hotel we are at is really nice w a pool and outdoor bar so it wont be so bad staying a few extra days. Met a bunch of other people here too from Germany, France and a ton from Israel. Anyway I don´t think I am going to be writing too much about the trip, I will let...

Anyways, next I moved on to Arequipa, the 1st place in Peru that I felt had a real charm about it and that I could quite happily potter about in for a few days. Went white water rafting, something I've always wanted to do and boy was it fucking cool. We did from Grade 2 all the way up to Grade 4+ (that's pretty rapidy), stayed...
