Clearly footballers aren’t the sharpest studs on the boot, but you would have thought that they’d at least have learnt something from the reaction to Ashley Cole’s revelations that he quit Arsenal in a fit of pique after being only offered £55k per week to run up and down the left wing for 90 minutes per week.
