Blackpool have a severe problem. Last year, the goals conceded from set pieces were a problem, and this year, they may well prove terminal. In spite of a stern midfield display, they dropped 2 more points in their quest for survival against the second season syndrome, this time, away at Norwich.

Blackpool morale suffered a set back after a second defeat came at the hands of Macclesfield in the Carling Cup 1st Round beating the Seasiders 2-0. Both teams named strong sides but it wasn't enough for the seasiders who crashed out the cup in front of just 1500 people.
