Connecticut regulators have approved a 2.3 percent rate increase for Bridgeport-based Aquarion Water Company. The state Department of Public Utility Control on Thursday gave final approval to the rate increase request for the company that serves 36 towns and cities in Connecticut. Most of its customers are in Fairfield county, and some are in Simsbury and Stonington.
