Gosh, it looks like Dragon's Lair, doesn't it? It plays that way too - all clunky controls and really basic interaction. It's essentially 5 minigame mechanics: 'Time Management' on the farm, 'Trivia', 'Platformer' (vs. the ROUSes in the Fire Swamp), 'Hidden Objects' an Potion Cooking with Billy Crystal and Carol Kane) and 'Inventory Collection & Assembly' at the castle.
