It's not exactly raining today, but there's definitely a distinct lack of that intense sunshine we've been experiencing lately, and a few hovering grey clouds. Perfect timing then, that an assortment of Cath Kidston brollies have trundled their way onto the ASOS website this week.

One of the first things you should think about when you're packing for your holiday (you know, after luggage, bikini, beach bag etc etc) is your passport. Aside from making sure you've got yours up-to-date and actually on-hand, it's also important to keep it protected from the elements you might experience when travelling (and don't I know about that firsthand... rain and passports don't mix kids!)...

I've been determined not to use the term 'credit crunch' anywhere in my writings because, well, it's just talking it up isn't it? And we'd all like to pretend it isn't happening. But that would mean ignoring all the good things that can come out of penny-pinching -- like getting creative, and greening up your life by avoiding mass-produced items.

I love Cath Kidston's cowboy print, but I think I might be a little old for the wallpaper and, though I covet the skirt, it doesn't come in my size. I may have cracked it with this lovely roomy bowling...

... a weekend stroll is: Waxed Barbour jacket, Hunter wellies and a young caddy, to carry the hamper.Cath Kidston frock or Boden cords; Anya Hindmarch tote or Bill Amberg manbag. Trackie bums. I’m only going to Tesco’s 6. Your smoke of choice is: A Montecristo No 3, which smells as expensive as it tastes. A Marlboro Light, but, like Dave Cameron, never in front of the kids.I don’t smoke....
