You know, Charles Schultz, the guy who drew Peanuts? There's statues all over the place. These are inside the Xcel center: They take their hockey pretty seriously here. These are in a park nearby: In the same park: there's no name on this statue, but I'm guessing it's Schulz. One thing I didn't get: They didn't talk about the archive. At all. The acquisition was never brought up. I think I have an idea of what's coming to the museum, but I haven't seen much of it. Three things I did not know about legendary animator Bill Melendez. He was born in Hermosillo, Sonora, Mexico. He was the only animator allowed by Charles Schultz to work with his characters. One of his sons is a retired Rear Admiral. Melendez died yesterday. The world is a poorer place for his passing but his work will live on for generations.
