LeRoi Moore was the saxophone player in the Dave Matthews Band. Playing a melodic but gritty brand of mainstream rock that brought comparisons with Bruce Springsteen, the group sold more than 30 million records to become one of the biggest-selling acts in America in recent years, although success was more elusive in Britain.

You don't have to love Dave Matthews Band to appreciate its talent. Or do you? With no opening act and no big name sponsors, one may think it has become a bit pretentious with its sustained popularity. It's like an indie band trapped inside an epic Billboard Top 40 band's body. ... A creative veteran, he's work with brands like Burton Snowboards, Microsoft's Xbox, Levi's, The Dave Matthews Band and Phish. His subject was collaboration, and I really appreciated his honest assessment of the dark and light sides of this topic. Some highlights: "We have to be masters of collaboration." "If collaboration becomes decoration, it's poisonous." "Be bold enough...
