Hickey and Walters ( Bespoke ) submit: Yesterday, we highlighted the miserable performance of Sears Holdings (SHLD) over the last several weeks. Since SHLD is most often associated with Eddie Lampert, we looked to see how the rest of the stocks in his portfolio have been doing. Lampert's hedge fund is called RBS Partners, and based on its holdings at the end of the third quarter,...

Greg Newton submits: It’s been a week or two since anybody called Eddie Lampert “The next Warren Buffett.” And now, it seems, either Bill Ackman got the memo, or even value tramps (not a typo) have stops. From the 13F-HRs of Pershing Square Capital Management LP, vis-a-vis its long dance with Two-Wrongs-Don’t-Make-A-Right (SHLD): Complete Story »

Most people are aware of the fact that Eddie Lampert's investment in Sears Holdings probably wasn't his best idea to date, and I would include the hooker community in that group of people. In the hierarchy of who is the first through the last to know your fund is taking a bath cause you thought the crock pot business was booming, call girls come just after your most trusted advisors...

But Sears...

Everyone has their favorite “gurus”. The obvious picks being Warren Buffett, Charles Minger and Eddie Lampert. But outside those names there are a few interesting individuals whose picks are tougher to decipher. In the small cap arena we have Paul Sonkin who is profiled in Bruce Greenwald’s book and Aeron Edelheit. Moving on to a [...]
