A year ago, when the Jets played the Bengals in Cincinnati, they faced a little-known backup running back named Kenny Watson. Watson torched the Jets for 130 rushing yards and three touchdowns as the Bengals beat the Jets 38-31. This time, enter...

Like when Chris Henry was suspended to start the season, he didn't count against the 53-man roster. Same thing should apply with the suspension of Darryl Blackstock, allowing the team to sign back Kenny Watson without having to cut another player -- at least for now. Also in the move above, the Bengals signed Simeon Castille to the team's practice squad. There is no running back "controversy" . The...

OK, so we over-reacted. It was already determined that Kenny Watson's hamstring injury would keep him out against the Cowboys. So, rather than freeing up a roster spot for Chris Henry, the Bengals decided to release Watson for Henry, and then sign him back once they determine the player they'd release. We're still waiting on the official roster move, so Watson is, as of this writing, unemployed. Chick...

Kenny Watson (2002) was released by the Cincinnati Bengals over the weekend. Watson was fighting a hamstring injury and hasn’t see action this year after a seven touchdown performance in 2007. The Bengals needed the roster spot to make room for (gulp) Chris Henry and Cedric Benson. That’s embarrassing for Watson. The thinking is that Watson [...]

Wide receiver Chris Henry was activated, setting up a possible matchup with Cowboys cornerback Adam "Pacman" Jones, a former college teammate who has been in even more trouble. The Bengals released running back Kenny Watson to open a roster spot for Henry. Henry was released by the Bengals (0-4) after his fifth arrest in the offseason. Owner Mike Brown took him back over the objections of coach Marvin...

The veteran purge continues as the Bengals cut veteran RB Kenny Watson to make room on the roster for WR Chris Henry. While one can argue the Bengals cut Watson because he has a sore hamstring with an eye on re-signing him last week, the move makes little sense for a thin backfield and more [...]

In a very surprising move Saturday afternoon, the Bengals decided to part ways with backup running back Kenny Watson , opening a roster spot for wide receiver Chris Henry. Henry's activation was expected... using Watson's spot wasn't. The move is especially surprising considering the team's lack of depth at running back. After Perry felt soreness in his hamstring Monday morning, the team kept his...

Former Bear Cedric Benson was signed today by the Cincinnati Bengals. The Bengals running backs are thin, with starter Chris Perry averaging 2.9 yard per carry and 52.0 yards per game and backup Kenny Watson averaging 4.6 yards per carry and 10.7 yards per game. They also announced that third string running back DeDe Dorsey is out for the season with an hamstring injury. I guess the running back position...

Carson Palmer has inflammation and sourness in his throwing elbow, making him questionable for Sunday's matchup against the Browns. Levi Jones showed up on the injury report by not practicing with a knee problem. On Thursday, Kenny Watson found his way on the injury reports with a hamstring injury. Watson and Palmer are questionable while Jones is probable. How do the Bengals include three players...
