Okay, cute 20-something Aussie actor Luke Ford isn't actually playing the son of the mummy (played by the amazing Jet Li) in the new film The Mummy: Tomb of the Dragon Emperor but Brendan Fraser's son, as Brendan reprises his role as adventurer/mummy fighter Rick O'Connell. To play now grown-up Alex O'Connell, Luke was picked from a long list of well-known actors because, according...

I tried to post this a while ago but the site's a bit glitchy. Anyway, see the horror of hobo Luke Ford hosted by Youtube: I haven't seen him in about a year, but when I did he still looked like this: What can you say to that?

Wow. How can you take a franchise as good as the resurected Mummy and pretty much destroy it in 112 minutes? Could it be the completely miss cast replacements? Maria Bello was no Rachel Weisz. Luke Ford just wasn't interesting. Perhaps thats part of it too. I know Anthony Wong Chau-Sang, Michelle Yeoh, Jet Li and David Calder all have something they can do on screen but they were criminaly...

It wasn’t just the lack of Rachel Weisz that doomed Tomb, although it certainly created such a void that was present every step of the way. It was also the contrived relationship problems between father, Rick O’Connel (Fraser) and son Alex (Luke Ford). It was also the false relationship between Alex and a stupid, unnecessary love interest. And Maria Bello was dreadful. Granted, she had...

So they need no persuading to escort a legendary diamond to China instead, where they're reunited with Evie's craven brother (Hannah) and Alex, who isn't at university at all. He's been searching...

Wow. That was so bad. Really. Really, really bad. To be more substantive, the comedy wasn't funny. Luke Ford , who plays Brendan Fraser 's son, has about as much charisma as one of the rocks in my backyard. (The rocks aren't that cute either.) I had higher hopes for this one due to the casting of Jet Li and Michelle Yeoh , and when I saw there was even another woman of color in a strong...
