Our second day in Kent was spent driving along the coast from Margate to Dover. We couldn't have picked a better day to be outdoors. While the weather was bitterly cold, the sky was clear and thus every scenic stop was framed by vivid blue sky. I've wanted to visit Margate ever since it was mentioned in a popular novel.
