Prime Minister Harper has called three byelections for September 8 including one in Westmount-Ville-Marie where CBC radio personality Anne Lagacé Dowson (NDP) is squaring off against astronaut Marc Garneau (Lib). There's also a Saint-Lambert election, a riding which Maka Kotto won for the Bloc in 2004. The outcome of these elections is being read like tea-leaves for clues to the timing...
