Neither of these stories are new, but I thought I would mention that Marc Quinn 's solid gold Kate Moss sculpture has been unveiled and the National Portrait Gallery in the UK is hoping to buy his 2006 version of "Self." We were given a sneak peek of the solid gold Kate Moss sculpture a few weeks ago, but the contorted Moss has now been fully unveiled and is on display at the British...

... sale at Lyon and Turnbull in London, where lot after lot of minor works by Damien Hirst, Marc Quinn and Banksy either failed to reach their estimate or remained unsold, 'embarrassing'. Elsewhere, auction house porters have been being drafted in to pose as punters and fill up empty seats. Last night, at Sotheby's in New York, an auction that was supposed to fetch over $200m raised...

Sculptor Marc Quinn has captured her likeness in solid gold (a life-size statue called "Siren," now on display at the British Museum), and soon she's going to be immortalized on the silver screen as well. With all of this odd pricey art going around of Kate Moss (recall the lipstick sketch ) one would think she is the living Mona Lisa--oh, right--she is. Designed by artist Marc Quinn as part of the Statuephilia exhibition at the British Museum it is said to be Kate doing yoga and is called Siren. Honestly, this piece is scary and should have been called "Crotch" cause that's what I can't...

We went to see the £1.5million solid gold statue of Kate Moss by sculptor Marc Quinn in the British Museum yesterday. The statue, titled ‘Siren’, is said to weigh 50kg - roughly the same than La Moss herself - and is thought to be the largest solid gold statue made since the Ancient Egyptians went for [...]
