I realize that I've thanked Jenny McCarthy and Andrew Wakefield before for giving the U.S. the gift of a measles resurgence. Originally, when I started this sarcastic little exercise, I assumed that it would be 5-10 years before we in the States caught up with the level of endemic measles that has been resurgent in the U.K. in the decade since Andrew Wakefield published his shoddy, fraudulent...

T.R. Sullivan reports that Brandon McCarthy is in the Rangers' clubhouse, and says McCarthy expects to start for the Rangers on Saturday. Better late than never with McCarthy, who, one hopes, can finish the season strong and healthy and give the team something to feel good about on that front heading for 2009.

BTIA has a great analysis of Brandon McCarthy's past 18 months or so in Texas , and in particular, the chronology of problems and the public statements being made (particularly from Mark Connor) about McCarthy's issues... I don't know why McCarthy has been the mess he's been since he got here, or who all is ultimately to blame...but I think there's no question the Ranger version...
