Natalie du Toit made history in Beijing when she took to the water in the women's 10-kilometre open water swim on Wednesday at the Olympic Games. The South African became the first amputee, along with Polish table tennis player Natalia Partyka, to take on able-bodied athletes in the biggest sporting event of them all in over a century.
