David Fincher directed this epic new Nike commercial, titled "Fate," in which NFL players LaDainian Tomlinson and Troy Polamalu are literally born to pummel each other in a football game. Polamalu, it seems, has had long hair since his days in the womb. Wieden, Nike and Fincher have teamed up before, of course, notably on the Nike Gridiron stuff from 2003. —Posted by Tim Nudd

Here is a great commercial from Nike called "fate". LT of the San Diego chargers and another NFL pro are featured. You can watch it right here: If you play football, this one might just make you want to go out and play right now.

Here is a pretty cool commercial from Nike. It follows the lives of LaDainian Tomlinson and Troy Polamalu up until they finally met on the field in San Diego. Yes, I know it’s random, but ever since I saw Troy Polamalu, then at sophomore at USC, put this hit on Kansas State’s Aaron Lockett, I’ve been [...] ShareThis

Not everything out there can be low-key and credit-crunchy. There has to be room for a bit of chest-beating sometimes, no? And I'm still just a sucker for those big Nike ads. This one's directed by David Fincher, and has a nice respect-for-one's-opponent spin on the machosity.

In need of a David Fincher fix and can't wait until Christmas for The Curious Case of Benjamin Button ? Check out the director's new Nike commercial . With help from one of our favorite cinematographers (Emmanuel Lubezki, who shot Children of Men ) and plenty of special effects, Mr. Fincher's spot traces the lives of San Diego Chargers running back LaDainian Tomlinson and Pittsburgh Steelers...

... Calif., about 30 minutes from LA. But there is something really, really wrong with this photo: No Nike logos anywhere. Sources close to Nike, Inc. say that is probably violation of Tiger’s contract somehow, and is now obligated to legally name his newborn Swoosh Woods.

Granted, I think this and the Michael Mann spot are the two best dramatic slash poignant football spots I’ve seen in a year, but does it connect with the brand? Nike is lifestyle now, 100%. Does a football spot ring true for their base, and would this David Fincher spot called Fate not be a piece better suited for NFL Network, or even the NFL itself? (Shhh. It’s okay. You know the answer, you...

Jeff Wells at Hollywood Elsewhere pointed out Nike's latest Nike Football "Leave Nothing" commercial, this year directed by David Fincher and shot by Emmanuel Lubezki ( Ali , The New World , Children of Men ). The spaghetti western motiff is pretty cool and it got me thinking back to last year's equally cool (if not cooler) commercial shot by Michael Mann with his frequent DP partner...

24K gold Nike Dunk sneakers, dipped in gold, sure grab some attention anywhere. Today’s luxury sneakers show the glamour that you really deserve. They would, however, have to be wealthy enough to spend $5,405 to own one of these. For the love of the game, you shouldn’t bother about how much they cost, for I am [...]
