SAN FRANCISCO (MarketWatch) -- Norfolk Southern Corp. reported late Tuesday third-quarter net income of $520 million, or $1.37 a share, up from $386 million, or 97 cents a share, a year earlier. Revenue for the quarter rose 23% to $2.89 billion from $2.35 billion. Analysts polled by FactSet Research were looking for a profit, on average, of $1.21 a share on $2.76 billion in revenue....
