Body found in retention pond ID'd

A 72-year-old man who drowned during the weekend in an Orange County retention pond was identified Monday as Denis Unroe. The body of Unroe, who had Parkinson's disease, was found Saturday about 2:30 p.m. near his home south of Oak Ridge Road, the Sheriff's Office said.

The body of a 72-year-old man who suffered from Parkinson's disease was found in a retention pond Saturday after he wandered from his home, according to the Orange County Sheriff's Office. The man's body was found just after 2:30 p.m. near Orkney Avenue just south of West Oak Ridge Road, investigators said. As of Saturday night, officials had not released his identity.
