America had a great ally in Pervez Mussharaf of Pakistan. Musharraf was the first Pakistani leader to meet with the American Jewish Congress . He accepted Israeli aid after the devastating earthquakes in 2005. He expanded women's rights in Pakistan. He was not perfect but the fact that Israel was the first country to congratulate Musharraf on his election win in 2007 should tell you something....
