... game was neck and neck throughout. With no time left on the clock in regulation and the score tied Paul Silas would try to call a time out the Celtics did not have. The refs however ignored the play and instead of awarding the Suns a free throw and a chance to win the game they let the clock run out (was Stern the commissioner back then too?). The teams battled it out in the first overtime...
