Not wanting fuel from middle eastern countries like Iran and Syria who have declared themselves enemies of the US makes sense. Not wanting fuel from Brazil? That's just silly. Doing so...

Price of gasoline in Hopkinsville, KY The price of regular unleaded tonight at Murphy's (the WalMart gas station) was $3.469 per gallon. That beats the $3.529 per gallon that I paid last time I put gas in my car. I hope the lower prices hold for a while. The propane truck filled the tank at our house a few days ago. It took 100 gallons, and the cost was $249.00. $2.49 per gallon...

HOWEVER, ACROSS THE STREET WHERE I FUELED IT WAS SELLING FOR $3.85 PER GALLON AND ALL PUMPS THERE HAD CARS WAITING TO FUEL. Have you noticed how the Citgo signs have disappeared in the past 7-8 months? Very clever move by Chavez. But guess what? CITGO IS CHANGING ITS NAME TO? This...

Prices are rolling back on some of the more visible things in life, gasoline for one. But it won’t last. Remember Katrina and the price run up? The price per gallon shot up so fast and so high, people thought it was never going to end. But public outcry and resistance lowered it back to a manageable level. But it was still substantially higher than it was before. The same thing is happening...

The recent rises in petrol and diesel prices at the gas station forecourts has been astonishing. Every day when I drove past my local supermarket, the price had gone up by another 1, 2 or 3p per litre. Although it has now fallen back from the highest price of 132.9 pence per litre (that is about $12 per gallon!), it still means that my husband and I do not drive as much as we used to. And the...
