We've noted that Phil Brennan's Nov. 19 Newsmax column falsely claimed that the earth has cooled over the past decade. Turns out he misled in another way too. As part of his argument that "Global warming is a fraud," Brennan quoted a Nov. 13 London Daily Mail article featuring a claim that global warming might be blamed on "falling -- rather than climbing -- levels of greenhouse...

In his Nov. 19 Newsmax column , Phil Brennan once again insists that "global temperature rises peaked around 1998 — and the world has been cooling ever since." As we've repeatedly detailed when Brennan has made this claim, while 1998 is the warmest year on record, overall global temperatures continued have continued to rise in the ensuing decade.

A Nov. 9 Newsmax article by Phil Brennan makes a big deal out of the Washington Post "admitting" it was "in the tank for Barack Obama" and exhibited "brazen bias" during the presidential campaign. He adds: Put another way, if the young Louisiana governor, Bobby Jindal, a conservative Republican and person of color, was running against an elderly liberal Democrat for president, would...

Newsmax is in the tank for Republican Norm Coleman in the Minnesota Senate post-election battle against Democrat Al Franken, and as we've noted , it's been peddling baseless accusations of voter fraud against Franken. One claim peddled was that, as stated in a Nov. 9 article by Phil Brennan, "one election judge who recalled that because of a communications snafu, the vote tallies could...

A Nov. 10 Newsmax article by Phil Brennan cited a discredited researcher in claiming voter fraud in the Minnesota Senate race between Norm Coleman and Al Franken. Brennan repeated claims by "John Lott, writing for Fox News," to suggest that "it appears to be too much of a coincidence that Minnesota's one tight race just happens to be the race with the most "corrected" votes by...

By: Phil Brennan For a lot of years when I worked in Presidential and congressional elections we lost and like most of my colleagues I joined in the finger pointing, blaming the people in charge for running inept campaigns and suggesting that what had not been done was the reason for…
