1971 was a magical year for the Festival da Canção RTP in Portugal (our contribution to the European song festival, that still takes place every year, although it's become completely irrelevant to the music scene). That generation had some freakin' rad composers and writers -- the lyrics for two of these songs were by the great poet Ary dos Santos. I find them all brilliant, especially "Cavalo à Solta"....

We stop during the driving to eat a pork in Meta dos Leitoes, very very good, and as the tradition asks we drunk red sparkling wine (not so good)!! The rang over started 30 minutes after we finish the meal!!!! Renata had to drive because Miguel and I drank 1 bottle of the wine....
