Both Brian Schneider and Ramon Castro are hurting, which lead Jerry Manuel to use Robinson Cancel. Hitting the game tying single in the 8th with two on and two outs made the move look genius but moving forward over the weekend what are they going to do about the catcher's spot. Gustavo Molina has already been sent home to prepare for winter ball and wasn't much of a hitter anyway. Raul Casanova never...

Brian Schneider was a late scratch from tonight’s lineup due to fluid in his knee, though he expects to be back in the lineup tomorrow. Fortunately, Ramon Castro was activated prior to tonight’s game.

Ramon Castro was sidelined at the end of August with a leg injury, it's the third year in a row that Castro has been on the disabled list late in the season. While his bat is very nice to have especially from a back-up catcher, I wonder moving forward if the injury risk is becoming more of a liability then his offense is an asset. His return wont effect the roster and now that the Mets are carrying...

According to Lo Hud Journal Ramon Castro was on the field today running. Going forward next year I think the team needs to seriously evaluate whether Castro's bat is worth the injury risk that he becomes every Aug.-Sept. But for this year I'll welcome back his right handed home run threat bat on the bench....... Hopefully, we’ll have a full update on Castro’s health later this afternoon, but I just...

The Mets placed Ramon Castro on the 15 day DL with a right Quad strain and recalled Robinson Cancel. I know Castro is a rare power threat catcher but he just proves every season he can't stay healthy and the Mets should really consider whether they should re-sign him. Cancel hit .233 in 30 ABs as the third catcher, he can also play 1B and LF if necessary, for a big man he is actually very quick and...
