Ripon Cathedral

Yesterday I took my parents to Ripon Cathedral, in North Yorkshire, for a visit. The cathedral has some fabulous staoined glass, both medieval and contemporary. It was really difficult to photograph but, if you like stained glass, please enjoy.

Saturday 19 July Very busy and profitable day with over £1000 banked but things could have gone even better. However, a couple of good winning days at the end of a tough week has certainly raised my spirits. Mary Ann Kaat Passes Away

Heartfelt condolences to Jim Kaat, whose wife Mary Ann, 64, died yesterday after suffering complications from the bladder cancer she was diagnosed with in 2004. Kaat, who retired from the Yankees Entertainment & Sports Network booth following the 2007 season, said the family will hold a private service in Ripon, Wis.
