The 42-year-old man dialed 911 twice last week so he could have his sub made correctly, police said. The second call was to complain that officers weren't arriving fast enough....

... blame the French for that haircut, too—the French circus to be exact. Sounds about right. Combine Rodney King diplomacy with Circque de Soleil and ya' got the Bar- campaign. As the Democrats were meeting in Denver this week to crown Barack Obama as their presidential nominee, the American public selected the Poodle as its choice for his family's dog.In a national poll of 42,000 people,...

... my top priority and helps explain why my iRead list is often out of sync. In the immortal words of Rodney King, why can't we all just get along? Seriously, there's no good reason why I should have to manage multiple services that are so darned similar. If I read a book I should be able to enter the info about it in one place and have it picked up everywhere. Tim O'Reilly makes a wonderful...

SFGate.com Phil Bronstein was about 10 when he wrote the letter. "It was my own Rodney King moment," he admits. "A little wimpy, even for a kid, and, fortunately, Ronald Reagan wasn't disposed to such begging later on." He jokes: "I'm quite sure that Khrushchev considered my case and it had a profound effect on him, probably leading to the collapse of the Soviet Union 30 years later."...

It's just a random thought. We all remember what happened after the first Rodney King trial (of the cops, not Rodney the asshole). The cops were found not guilty, and large sections of L.A. burned. The Feds came in and saved the day through double jeopardy and a "civil rights" conviction. For a jerk who led a high-speed chase through a residential district. O.J. Simpson gets away...

Their task was to remind the gathering of elderly “blue-hair” women and middle-aged white guys in Tommy Bahama T-shirts that any public display of outrage would be swiftly met with Rodney King-style justice....
