As reported by Kleinheider as being reported by the Lee Smith people, Democratic Party traitor, purgee, and lame-duck Senator Rosalind Kurita just dumped a huge contribution of $32,500.00 from her "Kurita Majority PAC" into the coffers of the (Republican) Tennessee Legislative Campaign Committee, making her the sixth largest contributor in that Republican PAC's Pre-General report...

Rosalind Kurita finally lets the cat out of the bag ...she's a Republican. She just emptied her Political Action Committee, to the tune of $32,500, into the coffers of the Tennessee Republican PAC. This after she was required to reimburse the PAC $21,521.83 for illegally using those funds to finance her campaign efforts. In addition to helping defeat State and Local Democrats, the Tennessee...

... membership. Instead, the one Democrat who actually was punished in any fashion by the party was Rosalind Kurita, and the manner in which her removal was carried out -- overturning a certified primary election -- left a decidedly un-democratic odor lingering in the air. Ironically, her dramatic expulsion was meant to prevent a Republican from becoming Senate speaker. How'd that work...

Van Hilleary, the semi-retarded 2002 failed Gubernatorial candidate, has withdrawn his name from contention as Secretary of State for Tennessee. My personal preference at this point, considering Republicans will get to make the pick, would probably be Rosalind Kurita. While she perhaps used the bathroom illegally during her primary campaign against Tim Barnes, I'd have some modicum of...

Tennessee State Senator Rosalind Kurita, running for re-election as a write-in candidate after the Democratic Party rejected her as its nominee (even though she had won the Democratic primary in August) only received 17% of the vote as a write-in candidate. See this story for more details.

Earlier this week, Nancy Pelosi assured Americans that a Democratic supermajority in Congress would translate into “more bipartisanship.” Set aside for a moment the nonsensical nature of that statement, and let us consider what Democrats really have in mind when they talk of bipartisanship. A helpful case study can be found in my home state of Tennessee. Early last year, State Senator Rosalind...

... party dollars and support. District 22 : For every Mike Williams, there is an equal and opposite Rosalind Kurita. Or something like that. The Tennessee Democratic Party, upset by Sen. Kurita's deciding vote for new Speaker Ron Ramsey, tried to unseat her in August by running a primary challenger against her. That election's outcome was very close (19 votes), and so the losing...

On October 24, the 6th circuit refused to put Tennessee State Senator Rosalind Kurita on the ballot. She had won the August primary but the Democratic Party had still removed her and substituted her primary opponent, on the grounds that too many Republicans had voted in the Democratic primary. The case remains alive, [...]

It appears that Rosalind Kurita thinks her 14th Amendment "Due Process" rights extend to allowing her to raid a PAC she setup, for use as campaign funds. According to the sworn complaint filed by Ricky Wallace of Montgomery County, Kurita in August and September illegally used her Kurita Majority PAC to pay for campaign expenses during that period, including: $17,070 for...
