Somewhere along the way the Cubs contracted the "paralyzing suck" virus and it seemed to spread from one Cub to the next last night. I felt like I was watching 28 Days Later , just waiting for the Cubs fans at the park to start ripping each other apart. It started with Ryan Theriot, and not on that ill-advised bare-handed play. After Soriano singled and took second, Theriot flailed away looking thorougly...

Some Chicago Cubs (Mark DeRosa, Geovany Soto, Ryan Dempster, Mike Fontenot, and Ryan Theriot, to be exact) have a little fun on camera in a video to promote Players Trust , the MLBPA's charitable foundation. Sure, it's more goofy than straight-up funny, but the short convinces us that Ryan Dempster has some quality acting chops.

Five Cubs players are testing out their comedy chops in a new video on Will Ferrell's interactive comedy site, Funny or Die. In the two-minute clip "Monobrow," Ryan Dempster, Ryan Theriot, Geovany Soto, Mike Fontenot and Mark DeRosa take turns dodging a flying eyebrow. Watch below: See more funny videos at Funny or Die

Even when Z pitches poorly, they win. Even when middle relief fails, they win. I LOVE THIS TEAM! Nearly four hours after last night's game began, Derrek Lee dinked a little popup down the right field line, just fair, scoring Ryan Theriot, who had singled and stolen second with two out, and then Aramis Ramirez put the exclamation point on the tenth-inning rally with a two-run homer, his twenty-seventh,...
