Page Links Himself to Nixon in New Ad

COATTAILS? In his latest ad, Democratic candidate for Lieutenant Governor Sam Page answers Peter Kinder's charge on a Medicaid vote by tying Kinder to Gov. Matt Blunt and the 2005 cuts. Page also links himself to Jay Nixon, who is the frontrunner in the race for Governor. "Sam Page will work with Jay Nixon to expand health care . . ." ***Watch Kinder's ad that Page is responding...

Kinder vs. Page on Tour De Missouri

The candidates for Lieutenant Governor squabble over Missouri's big bike race, the economic impact and what means the state should take to fund it. Peter Kinder cites the races as an example of his bipartisan work . . . "What I'm being attacked on is a great unifying event for the state." Sam Page said the race was "mismanaged," and criticized Kinder for "raiding" an economic development fund...

Peter Kinder Loses Temper, Compares Dr. Sam Page to Hitler and Goebbels

I wrote yesterday about how well-qualified Sam Page is for the position of Lieutenant Governor. I didn't focus much on Kinder, the incumbent, other than to point out even he that doesn't realize the scope of the job, because I wanted to say positive on one of the best and nicest candidates I have met in my years of political involvement. In the video below, Peter Kinder shows his anger about...

Looking Down Ballot: Dr. Sam Page for Lieutenant Governor

When I met Dr. Sam Page, I asked with genuine puzzlement why he would want to be the Lieutenant Governor. Underlying my puzzlement was my impression that Lieutenant Governor is kind of a half-hearted ambition, kind of like a kid dreaming of being the MVP of Minor League Baseball or wanting to be Alfred instead of Batman. Sam Page wants to be the Lieutenant Governor, and Missourians should...

Kinder Answers Claims in Page Attack Ad

POINT, COUNTERPOINT "That's The Goebbles' Hitler . . . Big Lie, Tell A Big Lie." In a recent television ad, Democratic candidate for Lieutenant Governor Sam Page accuses Peter Kinder of calling second-hand smoke, "faulty science", losing "millions of taxpayer dollars" on the Tour of Missouri and passing a tax credit for a St. Louis developer. Missouri 2008 Election Post-Mortem

... Republican Peter Kinder hangs on to win re-election against Anesthesiologist and State Senator Sam Page. My father actually used to support Page back in the day because he was in favor of tort reform, however he quit after Page’s militant pro-abortion views became evident. Anyway, this is the only statewide race that Republicans managed to win this year, except for McCain....

Dirty money is sexy; paying off Amex bill in six months interest free is sexier.

Bronson Page is a screenwriter, art director, and keeper of LovesickBilly.com. Bronson and his husband, Sam, have a balanced, happy marriage (despite Prop 8 ) where they budget and pay bills just like any other Californian couple. These are his words… A lovesick home and relationship are free of stress. Nowadays, that definitely applies to money. [...]

As I wrote on election night,

Sam Page's loss is Missouri's loss. You can get a sense of what kind of public servant we just lost from this letter Sam sent to his supporters: "Success has many fathers, but failure is an orphan." That quote is from Tacitus, a Senator in first century Rome. JFK quoted him following the Bay of Pigs, reflecting on its failure, but before that, he was quoted by Count Ciano, wartime pilot and...
