Sandcastle helps developers of managed class libraries create uniform documentation on their projects, using MSDN style. The Sandcastle project made the news in early June when Sam Ramji, Microsoft’s open source software...

We already see quite a different approach to dealing with OSS and OSS companies from Sam Ramjis group [which is] doing a great job in establishing dialog, said Rafael Laguna, CEO of Open-Xchange and a former marketing exec at SUSE Linux. With Gates departure, the only mammoth remaining is Ballmer. With him away in a near future, Microsoft will definitely open up. They have...

... slapping my forehead and uttering a Homer-esque “Doh!” when I realized my error, I thought about Sam Ramji’s blog entry titled Managing Towards Open . And then, with all seriousness, it occurred to me that Microsoft’s Open Source Labs is performing somewhat similar work as OpenSource.gov by gathering intelligence about software countries (so to speak) with different philosophies like various...

Fix it, he did. , it was "doubtful [that] Microsoft was willing to risk the wrath of the OSI over a documentation compiler." I'd go one step further. Once alerted to Sandcastle's violation and to the importance thereof, it was doubtful that Microsoft's Sam Ramji and Co. would be interested in the code, however important/non-important it might be.
