I'm on the launching pad... As many know I finished work at Bethesda on Sept 23 and have about 6wks off before I have to be in Pensacola for flight school. With the time I decided to visit my cousin Nick who is currently living in Sapporo Japan for a little big longer. My other cousin his brother Mike will be flying out commercial from Oct 922 for us all to meet up and travel together

The Eco Design Award in Sapporo, northern Japan, is a small but growing event inviting designers to think about materials and shapes, and come up with great design. Last year, the lovely handmade recycled wine bottle lamp shown here won the Grand Prix. So yesterday was my first full day here in Sapporo and I gotta say this is a great city. Sapporo is the 5th largest city in Japan and one of the newest. Which means one very big thing streets here actually make SENSE.
