Rep. Scott Muschany, R-Frontenac, facing a felony charge of deviate sexual assault on a 14-year-old girl, resigned from the House Tuesday. During his arraignment in Cole County Circuit Court Tuesday, Muschany pleaded not guilty. His next court appearance is scheduled for Oct. 27, when a trial date will be set.
