Ryan was 21st in practice...I am sure that everyone will pick up quite a bit of time as it cools down during qualifying. Kurt was 19th...SHJ was 45th...so much for him getting "superior" equipment to the 12 and the 2, lol. There was some good news, as Scott Riggs was 17th fastest in the #66. I wonder where Ryan would have had it on the chart?

I have an interesting thought. There are a bunch of drivers who blew their shot at cup racing and I would like to give them another shot. These include Stremme, Mears, JJ Yeley, Tony Raines, Leffler, Kenny Wallace, Sterlin Marlin, Dario Franchitti, Johnny Sauter, Scott Riggs, Jeff Green, Scott Wimmer, Johnny Benson, Mike Skinner, Mayfield, John Andretti., Ken Shraeder. Who is your driver and why? My...

Kyle Busch, Scott Riggs, Travis Kvapil and a group of Goodyear engineers came to Atlanta Motor Speedway this week on a mission: to develop a better tire than the one that was roundly criticized after the Kobalt Tools 500 this spring.

It was Kasey Kahne from wire to wire, sorta, but a whole bunch of stuff happened in between the first green flag and the checkered one at Long Pond, Pa. Sunday. A lap after Martin Truex Jr. and Scott Riggs headed in for their scheduled pit stops on lap 26, the first yellow came out for junk on the track. Adding injury to unfortunate timing Mr. Truex Jr. was penalized for an equipment violation, his...

One of the ink-stained scribes, whose ink is paid for by the Associated Press, has corralled Scott Riggs for his thoughts on the Haas Racing penalties assessed by NASCAR. Unsurprisingly Riggs said the severe penalties which included suspensions, fines, docked points and loss of the two cars involved “don’t fit the crime.” “If it was something [...]

I am quite certain that the pressure to perform for sponsors, get into the top 35 in Owner's Points, and stay there led to the penalties that were handed out this week by NASCAR. Penalties, fines and suspensions were issued to the No. 66, driven by Scott Riggs, and the No. 70, driven by Johnny Sauter, on Wednesday. Both the 66 and 70 cars are from the same racing shop, CNC/Haas, even though they list...
