Ooh, the mole at NBC who leaked the probably-true rumor about David Gregory taking over Meet the Press? None other than our ginger-hair MSNBC choice pick: The infamous in-house squabbling over Tim Russert's replacement "is at a new peak" said one tipster, with some NBC suits and talent sore over the network's widely reported choice of [...]

NBC cannot and should not expect David Gregory to "fill the shoes" of Tim Russert. I suspect Gregory would tell you the same thing. They have different styles; both are valid, but very different.

While there's no direct gay link, everyone here at Queerty (read: your editor) is obsessed with Meet the Press and so we wanted to draw attention to sister site Jossip's fantastic breakdown of how the show has gone from Tim Russert to (wah-wah) David Gregory: JOSSIP IN-DEPTH — David Gregory will be your next Meet The [...]

It looks like David Gregory has been selected by NBC to replace the late Tim Russert as host of Meet the Press. I predict he will flourish. Why? I don't know much about his talent, since I've rarely seen him on TV. My prediction is based on the fact that he is, by my reckoning, approximately 17 [...]

JOSSIP IN-DEPTH — David Gregory will be your next Meet The Press moderator, even if nobody on the inside is confirming it. On Gregory's end, his agent won't confirm the news probably because the contract isn't finalized and signed yet, even if the verbal arrangement is in place. Same goes for 30 Rock's insistence that [...]

M i compradre-ette Professor Tracey at Aunt Jemima's Revenge (a whole lotta revenge out there with Nat's) was tripping over the elevation of cremepuff "journalist" and Mary J Blige fan David Gregory to honcho Meet the Press over Gwen Ifill and Lord, any other true reporter who doesn't yell "whoopie" on Today. Check it out here . Part and parcel of Auntie's editorial was subsequent post on Luke Russert,...

NBC is holding back from anointing David Gregory as the new host of "Meet the Press" because "they're furious about leaks" that tipped off the media, well-placed sources told Page Six. The infamous in-house squabbling over Tim Russert's...

What are people saying about David Gregory, NBC News' heir presumptive for Tim Russert's job on Meet the Press ? Felix Gillette talks to some who say things like, âHeâs got great instincts when it comes to what area of stories to probe...I donât think thereâs much of a learning curve when it comes to politics. He knows that world as well as anyone. He gets great stuff out of people" and "He...

This is a bit of dialogue from “The Chris Matthews Show,” though surprisingly enough not from Chris Matthews. It comes from Mark Whitaker, the NBC WASHINGTON BUREAU CHIEF (i.e. the guy who replaced Tim Russert): I don’t think one of the least intellectually curious presidents we’ve had is going…is going to spend his retirement writing books [...]

David Gregory is no Tim Russert in temperament or journalistic style, a fact made none the clearer than when we reported on a certain waitress-yelling spectacle from Gregory that lead to a rare Russert scolding against his coworker. But now that it looks like D.G. is taking over for Tim Russert on Meet the Press [...]

First, David Gregory has been named to replace Tim Russert on Meet the Press. Really? Oh, well, I guess it won’t really matter since he is in the tank for the incoming president and others. Here’s what else made me laugh: he’s 38. I thought the guy was pushing 50 or so. All that grrr, anger, [...]

I don't go to church on Sundays, but I do watch Meet the Press . So I am pleased to see that the venerable NBC talk show is finally going to get a permanent host to replace the late Tim Russert. Herewith, some unsolicited advice for the new guy, former White House reporter David Gregory: Bring on subject-matter experts more often. Chuck Todd and Paul Begala are great political commentators, but they...

The official announcement may not come until Sunday, but it appears that David Gregory has been tapped to permanently replace Tim Russert on Meet The Press. Gregory is currently the host of MSNBC’s “1600 Pennsylvania Avenue,” a dreary collection of monotonous pundits that barely registers a blip in the ratings. Gregory is probably best known for [...]
