While Abp. Timothy Dolan maintains silence about the election, 150+ other Catholic Bishops around the country have spoken out. And it's had some effect, though hardly enough. The final IBD/TIPP poll shows that Catholics support McCain 48/40, with 4% undecided. The poll also suggests that the Undecideds will break for Obama and the overall totals are 51.5/44.3, 4.2% undecided.

While we await Abp. Timothy Dolan's statement on the hierarchical value of the abortion-question in voting, we can happily announce this : Catholics poll 51/38 McCain/Obama, with 11 undecided according to the 11/2 IBD/TIPP tracking poll.

We have yet to see a definitive statement from Archbishop Timothy Dolan of Milwaukee. In the meantime 115 other Catholic Bishops have spoken out, defending life against the Democrat candidate, 'Moloch's Son' Obama.
