New Butler basketball coach Brad Stevens today announced the selection of three assistant coaches. Matthew Graves, 32, is a holdover from the staff of Todd Lickliter, who resigned a week ago to become head coach at Iowa. Joining Graves is former Butler player Brandon Miller, 27, and Terry Johnson, 33.

It's tough for a new basketball coach to screw up his first press conference, and Todd Lickliter said all the right things today in his introductory session with reporters in Iowa City. Thanks to Mediacom's Channel 22, I watched on the tube as Bob Brooks, Jim Ecker, Susan Harman, Randy Peterson and a roomful of others tossed questions at Lickliter and Iowa athletic director Gary Barta late this afternoon....
