WASHINGTON | It was a political maneuver not even their mothers could love. Immediately after Congress agreed (412-0) to “celebrate the role of mothers in the United States” and support Mother’s Day, U.S. Rep. Todd Tiahrt of Kansas stood and called for a second vote.
