Rep. Tom Davis resigned from Congress on Monday. Davis considered, but then decided not to run for the Senate seat just won by Mark Warner. Then he announced in January that he wouldn't be running for re-election this year. The seat will remain vacant until filled by Democrat Gerry Connolly when the new term starts in January.
