It’s pretty much what we said the other day. Tomas Holmstrom isn’t the kind of guy the Wings are going to coddle or cajole. His ego doesn’t need stroking and he’s happy with the money he’s making (allegedly). All he wants to do is play some hockey. And if you prevent him from doing so?

Both Helene St. James and Ansar Khan report that Tomas Holmstrom has been sent home early so that he can undergo an MRI tomorrow. If it’s bad enough to send him back now, it doesn’t seem likely he’ll return to the lineup this week.
