Coach Jeff Capel signed four players, including 5-10 point guard Tommy Mason-Griffin of Houston Madison. Mason-Griffin is rated the No. 3 player in Texas in the Class of 2009 by TexasHoops.com. He averaged 23.1 points and seven assists last season.

OKLAHOMA CITY – A Houston guard ranked as one of the best high school players in the country signed a national letter of intent to play for OU. Tommy Mason-Griffin is the country's No. 24 overall player and No. 3 point guard according to Scout.com. At James Madison High School in Houston last year, he averaged 23 points and seven assists per game.
