iPAQ presently refers to a Pocket PC or personal digital assistant first unveiled by Compaq in April 2000, but the name was borrowed from Compaq's earlier iPAQ desktop personal computers. Since Hewlett-Packard acquisition of Compaq, HP has marketed the product. Besides this, there are several distributions of Linux, which also operate in some of these devices.
