Musicians, models, sportsmen, everyone’s got a blog these days! A blog acts as a diary for a famous person/artist and is an ideal way of ‘celebs’ keeping up to date with their fans. Blogs in the music industry: Most singers/bands have a blog on their websites. Some artists use it to write to fans directly and [...]

"A Good Beer Blog -- Some days are just slow for beer news but this photo caught my eye. What dramatic perspective...and a natty choice of slippers. A classic from the school of "nutty old guy in basement" art. Whippersnapper irony? Bah! To me, he's a sort of hero - but what would the caption be?..." (87 words - posted by Alan (Ontario))

Lots to get to as usual. Let's dig right in... We'll start off with much love for Chris Paul. I have got the rather doomed idea of updating my blog every day into my head. This is quite clearly not going to work. Today I have done nothing. It is a Bank Holiday though, doing nothing is mandatory. I woke up too early because I hadn't disabled my weekday alarm on my mobile phone (which [...]

I just posted the great VC blog of the day over on Ask the VC but I think that it is so useful I'm reposting about it here. One of my favorite VC posts of all times was my partner Seth Levine's post titled How to become a venture capitalist . I regularly get emails from folks looking for a job in the VC industry and I almost always point them at this post. Seth has followed up with a new post...

So, I keep thinking I am forgetting something. Oh yeah, Rafael Nadal played today as well. That was where I was going with the opening heat comment and I fear I have gotten off track. Big news of the day, Nadal won. Considering he has won 101 of his last 102 matches on clay, I supposed that shouldn't be too much of a shocker. Here is my big prediction for tomorrow: Nadal has a 99% chance of a victory....

I have just skimmed through my posts and have noticed I have been blogging for two whole years! Two years! My where did all the time go? Mostly on having a good old moan and putting up silly (but true) stories about my life as a police officer. I have been called an officer near retirement (if only) and ever so slightly miserable but as I have mentioned before I only moan because I truly love my job....

We blog every day. But, sometimes working up the motivation to put fingers to keyboard is difficult. For starters Grand Theft Auto IV ain't gonna play itself. Oh, and we can always find an extra hour or two in the day to sleep. British artist Rob Pepper has somehow found a way to combine his [...]
