In the Land of Melk and Honey

Editor’s note: George Prell persuaded me to post the following story, though it’s not what you’d expect to see on a blog about preparedness. We make plans and take steps to survive the adversities of today and the future, hoping and praying to keep the unavoidable specter of death at bay as long as possible. the easy life

I want to be just like Hugh MacLeod when I grow up. Instead I'm like me. These days being like me means injuring your fingers three times in one week, the last being the worst. I slammed my finger into my minivan's sliding door last night and followed that up with the doctor actually burning a hole in my fingernail to relieve blood/pressure. X-ray results not back yet. [Buy the print here etc.] Back in Blogging’s glory days of 2007 (Man, that seems like a LONG time ago), my client, the Stormhoek winery was sponsoring the famous annual Techcrunch Party in Silicon Valley. To add some fun to the event, we made up 1000 signed, limited edition commemorative prints, which we handed out free to [...]

My last words

One of my prized possessions is a drawing Hugh MacLeod did for me, based on what I was saying to him while he drew it. The man is a genius with one of the best hearts I know.

why yes, i’ve been busy lately…

This is what happens when you get rid of your Blackberry and start leaving your computer at the office overnight. You suddenly get far more creative and productive. At least, I do… [About Hugh. E-mail Hugh. Hire Hugh. Buy Hugh’s Art. Cartoon Archive.]
